Sizeable steel columns in this factory conversion were the inspiration for a bold scheme in midnight blue. Set against our dramatic wallpaper, are a large vintage steel desk (left) and a show stopping side table (above) crafted from reclaimed materials. Spun and hammered brass, together with patinated pewter all reference the building’s original features.
(Below) A vintage leather gym mat was the starting point for this smart bedroom arrangement in a warehouse conversion. Hanging, it becomes a sizeable headboard beneath the enormous original windows and offsets the dark exposed brickwork. A palette of dusky pinks and neutral shades softens the industrial space, while the juxtaposition of various textures, including soft woven leather, sheepskin, luxe velvet and linen, creates an inviting environment for early nights and morning lie-ins. This is an exercise in style.
(Bottom) A beautifully crafted chaise longue is the focal point of this quiet reading corner in a warehouse home. Combining traditional elegance with contemporary twists it is well suited to this heritage conversion. Forest green upholstery is a smart contrast to raw brick and timber. And patinated metal is complemented by polished brass accessories.
