Clerkenwell Design Week begins tomorrow. And as proud media partner we’ve put together five must-see installations and exhibitions on display during the anticipated three day design event. Once again Clerkenwell Design Week promises fresh, innovative design talent from around the world and the opportunity to experience the bustling area of Clerkenwell through vibrant design collections. What are you looking forward to seeing?
SHOWROOMS
Local resident showrooms such as Ercol, Stella Works, and Muuto will once again open their doors to attendees of CDW. Drop by to experience new collections from high end furniture, lighting, and bathroom brands. We recommend a visit to the Muuto showroom to see the new Enfold collection in situ. The stylish sideboard features a corrugated metal front referencing industrial elements on the factory floor.
PARKSIDE
Exhibiting for the first time at Clerkenwell Design Week, porcelain and ceramic tile company Parkside will present two innovative bathroom concepts in a variety of materials, finishes, and colours within a refurbished 20ft industrial shipping container in St John’s Square.
BRITISH COLLECTIONS
Host to the UK’s exciting homegrown talent, the British Collections will showcase the latest furniture, lighitng and product designs and collections from brands and designers such as Benchmark and Very Good & Proper. Furniture company deVOL will welcome visitors to their townhouse showroom to discover the Curiosity Cupboard and brand new Air Kitchen inspired by gentlemen's haberdashery cupboards.
LIGHT
Set in Fabric nightclub, new exhibition Light will host a premium collection of top international lighting brands and inspirational installations within its brick vaults. Throughout the three day event, the Design Best sample sale will offer an exclusive opportunity to purchase sample lighting designs and accessories from known brands such as Anglepoise and Tom Dixon.
POP UP SHOP
Curated by The Creative Edit and Creative Clerkenwell, the CDW Pop-Up Shop on Clerkenwell Road will feature unique designs from independent designers, makers, and local creatives as well as demonstrations and workshops.
