Styling 7 Decorative Vintage Accents

Posted on Feb 20, 2017 by

From cushions to consoles, decorative accents really work to tie an interior scheme together. Here the Warehouse Home team share their tips to successfully incorporating smaller vintage pieces into your own space.

1. Typography

Little or large, timeworn typography will add dramatic interest to any interior scheme. Use salvaged letters, letterlights or repurposed metal signage to complete the look. This vintage fairground sign from Scaramanga is one of our favourites, but you can find similar at Vintage Matters, Antiques by Design and Mayfly Vintage.

2. Wall Art

Unique and diverse, vintage prints and charts, like this anatomical print of a bird from Millington & Hope, become a real conversational piece when paired against an industrial backdrop.

3. Display

Whether functional or purely decorative open display shelving is the ideal storage solution for those bits and pieces you’ve collected over the years. Once a wooden drawer this charming unit was repurposed into a display shelf. Find it at Dee Puddy Home & Vintage.
