Industrial Impact

Posted on Feb 8, 2014 by

The Jack side table from CB2 will bring a bold shot of colour into your home. Cast in a mould used to make jacks for tracks, the iron base has been given a coat of high-gloss neon yellow that would look particularly striking against an otherwise monochrome scheme. The contemporary colour of the base is offset beautifully by the tabletop, which is crafted from sustainable acacia wood and has been given a smooth finish and rounded corners. The tabletop’s light stain finish has drawn out the natural knots and grain of the wood. At 18.25 inches in height, the jack side table is the perfect height for positioning beside the sofa.

CB2 is an affordable modern furniture emporium from American brand Crate and Barrel. They have stores across the US but also ship to over 90 countries, including the UK.

If you’re looking for an industrial side table with a slightly more traditional feel, then we think you’ll love this railway side table from Mobius Living. Set onto the cast steel base is a round table top made from reclaimed railway station teak wood, the knots and cracks in the wood enhancing the table’s character. The Railway side table is available from Mobius Living from March 2014, but be sure to place your order soon as there will only be a limited number of these stylish industrial tables available.
