Get The Look – Spex Pistols

Posted on Mar 31, 2016 by

Vintage furniture and leather bag supplier Scaramanga has redesigned Dundee based eyewear boutique, Spex Pistols, with the help of interior designer Sooz Gordon. Sourcing some great pieces to add to the already eclectic range of vintage decor, Scaramanga have added their unique touch and made the spectacles shop an even more interesting experience!

A display cabinet is perfect for showing off your goods – whether your favourite spectacles and sunnies or other treasures from your travels. The vintage display cabinet in Spex (above) was sourced from India by Scaramanga. It’s not just aesthetically pleasing, but also has a great story behind it too.

Scaramanga always have a lovely range of vintage cabinets, of various sizes and finishes. We think this Art Deco teak wall cabinet (below) would make a particularly nice addition to any wall.

But shelving isn’t the only way to showcase your favourite items. A vintage chair or old chest works just as well – as this lovely display at Spex demonstrates!

Two different shades of blue are used with the vintage folding chair and old storage chest.

These vintage folding metal cafe chairs are a perfect pairing for the vintage blue chest above. And because they fold completely flat, they’re a useful space-saving solution for smaller spaces and city apartments.

Why not mix and match your storage? Scaramanga supplied Spex with a range of vintage wooden drinks crates and sheet metal filing cabinets.

Repurposed drinks crates are now used for decoration and storage.

This lovely vintage filing cabinet has traditional charm and will make a practical addition to your home office. Alternatively, you could use it to store recipe cards and spices in the kitchen. Or as a small bedside cabinet.

And for a splash of colour, you can’t beat these vintage drinks crates. The worn red paint brings a splash of retro colour. And with their high sides and handles, they make ideal breakfast in bed trays.
