Enterprise Nation: Go Global Amsterdam

Posted on Feb 23, 2017 by

The leading campaigning voice for small businesses, Enterprise Nation continues to be the most active community platform for small business owners in the UK. Enterprise Nation connects its members with like-minded start ups, entrepreneurs and enterprise experts through networking events, start up classes, expert workshops and international trade missions. Warehouse Home was a proud media partner for the recent Enterprise Nation Go Global trade mission to the design-conscious city of Amsterdam. The mission focused on homeware brands, both established and emerging, and several had featured on the pages of Warehouse Home.

mywarehousehome.com and the digital editions of Warehouse Home both receive significant traffic from the Netherlands. And so the Enterprise Nation trip represented a great opportunity to showcase our magazine and design collaborations, as well as supporting the c.30 different homeware brands attending the mission. We took the opportunity to showcase a selection of key homeware products from our design collaborations during the mission. Designs for Warehouse Home by Nick Fraser, Katie Brown and Stolen Form, all available from the Warehouse Home Shop, proved particularly popular during the trip.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to catch up with Carla Muncaster, founder of bespoke industrial furniture specialists Urban Grain. You will almost certainly remember the galvanised steel bed frame on the cover of Warehouse Home Issue One, created exclusively for the magazine by Urban Grain.

The trip also offered an opportunity to spend time with talented product designer Dan Hoolahan, whose beautiful candleholder (crafted from damaged copies of Warehouse Home magazine) takes pride of place on the front cover of our current issue! We also enjoyed chats with, Linda of Identity Papers, Nick, founder of Paper Boy Wallpaper and Vanessa of Copper and Blonde.
