Paola Paronetto: Paper Clay

Posted on Jul 21, 2017 by

Italian artist Paola Paronetto’s paper clay work is a range of unique vessels. Made entirely by hand, the Cartocci collection has evolved over time, most recently expanding into oversized bottles and bowls. The addition of paper pulp and fibre to the ceramic mixture imbues every piece with a delicacy as well as a tactile quality. While some pieces are pure white, others have been finished in pastel shades. The collection’s ridged effects evoke the natural forms found in flowers and mushrooms.
