Wall New

Posted on Jan 14, 2014 by

At the weekend, an MWH reader asked us for advice on interesting wallpapers to bring a touch of industrial chic to her home. Well, we’re only too happy to help! Having seen exposed brickwork painted white in various stylish locations, Lily was keen to find a wallpaper that recreated that effect – but with considerably less building work and effort involved! This fantastic white brick panel from Decor Wallpaper fits the bill perfectly. Measuring 62.5cm wide and 300cm in length, the wallpaper panel is available in two paper qualities, 180gsm smooth wallpaper and, for an additional £30, 300gsm textured wallpaper.

We were also keen to introduce Lily to some of the other “industrial chic” wallpapers that are new to the Decor Wallpaper collection. As our regular readers will know, not only is concrete a huge interiors trend but it’s one that we at MWH are completely in love with! With these new concrete-effect wallpapers from Decor Wallpaper, you can channel the concrete trend in your home and create real wow-factor in every room. The various styles or designs offer a huge amount of versatility and enable you to create softer or more impactful feature walls, depending on your home and taste. Again, the papers are all available in two weights and textures. Be sure to measure your room carefully to calculate the correct number of rolls required.

The concrete mini stripe wallpaper is an interesting and more unusual way to create a concrete-effect feature wall. The mini stripes achieve an overall delicacy and depth of interest

The concrete horizontal stripe wallpaper panel has a stronger, bolder look that makes it more suitable for larger spaces. We think it would look particularly striking hung down the length of a long hallway – perhaps just on one side for added drama

*Unfortunately, these concrete effect wallpapers are no longer available from Decor Wallpaper. But, if you enjoyed this feature, be sure to read our recent pieces “Complete Concrete” and “Cracking Feature” on other fabulous concrete wallpapers, from Bodie and Fou and John Lewis.
