Tramonti at 100% Design

Posted on Sep 5, 2015 by

“Colour is one of the most dynamic elements in design and decoration. Subtle and allusive or bold and invigorating, there’s nothing like it to add spice to life and soul to your surroundings.” ‘Conran on Colour’ by Terence Conran, £25, published by Octopus Books

Italian design brand Tramonti Art Design offer a vibrant lighting range to add soul to your surroundings. In fact, it is Tramonti’s mission to produce a contemporary collection of classic lamps, re-imagined and reinvigorated through the use of modern finishes and bold, bright primary colours.

Previously popular lighting brand Europa Design, founded in 1984, new ownership in the form of Tramonti Art Design in 2013 gave the brand a new lease of life. The intention was to improve and build upon an important heritage. The brand’s original range of floor, desk and ceiling lamps have all enjoyed a modern update, both structurally and aesthetically. The Primary Floor Lamp (below left) caught our eyes, combining a traditional industrial form with playful primary colours. Another favourite is the bright yellow desk lamp (above right), right its construction bracket frame, reminiscent of meccano.
