Marble Kitchen Design Tips Via Pinterest

Posted on Aug 3, 2015 by

Marble has made a welcome comeback and is transforming the heart of the home, the kitchen. With its natural refinement and timeless quality, the sophisticated stone complements any contemporary interior and is particularly striking in an industrial space. Make a statement by combining the classic rock with rustic wood or shining metal.

We’ve scoured Pinterest for some of our favourite marble kitchens. Which is your favourite?

Industrial style, warehouse kitchen with beautiful marble worktop, industrial exposed pipe shelving and white subway tiles.

Add an industrial touch to a marble worktop with dark cupboards and accessories, exposed pipes and rustic woods.

The white marble in this kitchen (above) is given an industrial edge with the addition of exposed pipes, used to create open shelving with rustic wood. The use of black as an accent is carried throughout the kitchen, in the industrial downlight fittings, as well as the cupboard doors and appliances. Black picture frames complete the look.

Statement modern, marble island and matching worktop is contrasted with the dark, rustic wooden floorboards, which looks beautiful against the plain white, ceiling height kitchen cupboards.

This minimalist kitchen is so versatile and would create a statement in any home, whether traditional, modern or warehouse style. To create a more overtly industrial look, we would add vintage industrial stools with black metal legs – like this one from Amara. These stunning crystal bulb pendant lights by Lee Broom would look amazing hung over the kitchen island.

How would you style the kitchen?

The marble worktop and splashback looks amazing in this industrial kitchen, paired with the deep blue colouring of the cupboards and dark rustic wood shelving.

This luxurious kitchen combines a marble worktop and splashback with dark cupboards. The addition of the dark wood open shelving creates a more warehouse style look; we’d style it with copper accessories and stainless steel appliances.

Another bright kitchen where marble adds real wow-factor.  Again, an all-white run of cupboards acts as a pristine backdrop. And this kitchen proves that, with the right accessories, plain white is far from boring. Just look at those copper touches – it’s the perfect accent metal and injects an industrial element into the space. Try Tom Dixon and Original BTC.
