Great Designs Coming To Pulse London
Following the success of the Warehouse Home stand at Top Drawer in January, we’ve joined up with their sister London show as a Media Partner for Pulse. Billed as the ‘definitive retail event for trend-leading giftware, modern living and retail insight’, Pulse will take place from 15-17 May 2016 at Olympia London. Whether you are a retail buyer or simply like to stay ahead of the trends for your own interiors project, Pulse once again promises to be filled to the rafters with an array of top brands, established and emerging designers and inspiration galore.
The ever popular industrial aesthetic will take centre stage again, with striking contemporary designs being showcased by brands such as Grand Illusions and Invotis.
Swedish Pendant with Grill Antique Black, £55.20, Grand Illusions
This unusual clock by Invotis should certainly be given a prominent position on the wall. Its strong design is reminiscent of factory fixtures.
Big Wheel Year-Month Black-White Digits Clock, £84, Invotis
Strong graphic lines, midcentury inspired forms and a focus on contrasting textures and colours will also be prevalent during Pulse in May. Here are some of our favourite examples to whet your appetite!
These lovely linen cushions from Also Home are a great way to inject colour into the home – although the black and white options are perfect for anyone following a monochrome scheme. The texture of linen is an ideal complement to exposed brickwork and industrial furniture.
Libson Cushion, £30, Also Home
These mini ‘Consilium’ vessels from Scandinaviaform combine unexpected materials and textures. Pastel coloured porcelain bases are topped with a cork and copper piping, which is the perfect dimension for supporting a single branch or bloom. Simply remove the cork when you need to fill the vase with water.
Porcelain, Copper & Cork Mini ‘Consilium’ Vase, £10.99, Scandinaviaform
Meanwhile, the 70s staple – rattan – has been given a bold update for 2016. This brightly coloured chair from Holly’s House is a brilliant example. Contrasting turqoise dyed rattan and powder coated black metal legs, it will add a welcome splash of colour year-round. Ocean Green Rattan Dining Chair, £219, Holly’s House
We’ll be sharing further snapshots in the lead up to Pulse 2016, so be sure to check back for updates. And if you haven’t registered yet, click here to do so. We’ll see you there!
