Dream Warehouse Apartment – Flag Store
This beautiful apartment in East London is proof of how much character can be found in warehouse conversions. Original beams, exposed brick and hardwood floors are offset by retro revival decor. There are plenty of quirky touches and we love the nods to Cool Britannia.
The Flag Store is one of Shad Thames’ most iconic warehouse buildings, and boasts a wealth of apartments containing double height ceilings, spiral staircases and huge warehouse windows. Its definitely on our wish list!
The Flag Store, Shad Thames, London, £1,200,000, Prime Location
A mezzanine level amid the original wooden beams adds further interest and leads to a bedroom and roof terrace.
An unusual choice of colour in the kitchen contrasts beautifully with the exposed brick, offset with some vintage signage.
Vintage posters and wall art also decorate the study, where splashes of bright pillarbox red really make a statement against the exposed brickwork and monochrome decor.
And let’s stop to admire the lovely exterior of the building too…! The Flag Store immediately makes an impression.
