Dream Loft Living in ‘The Factory’

Posted on Aug 7, 2015 by

Where to start with this week’s dream home? Our property this week is proof that even the most modern and minimalist interior can sit inside a warehouse conversion – it’s not always about brick walls and exposed beams. This contemporary home is part of The Factory, a renowned warehouse development converted by Manhattan Loft Corporation in the 90s.

If the name of Manhattan Loft Corporation doesn’t ring a bell, the trend setting developer is widely considered as sparking a ‘design revolution’ with projects including the Chiltern Firehouse, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Ealing Studios and Manhattan Loft Gardens, so you can expect something very special at The Factory! The building has played a starring role in programmes on the BBC, MTV and VH1 and was showcased in iconic photo book ‘Lofts’.

This amazing architect designed penthouse is rare to the market and it’s a true blank canvas. The home spans over 2,681sq ft and is filled with luxury finishes and unusual finishing touches. Bespoke painted concrete floors, harking back to the building’s heritage.

The minimalist bedroom features classic warehouse style Crittal windows.

With its large open spaces, we think this penthouse has all the makings of a great party place.

Taking centre stage is the modern, open plan kitchen that can be ‘closed off’ to create the perfect entertaining space, equipped with underlit island and surround sound!

One of our favourite aspects of the apartment is the mezzanine level that overlooks the dining area and can only be accessed by a hidden wooden staircase! It contains a stylish study complete with bespoke desk and shelving.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, there is even a completely private landscaped roof terrace, which would be perfect for summer dinner parties or even just enjoying a quiet nighttime view over East London!
