Concrete Luxe at designjunction
Now in its thirteenth year, London Design Festival takes place each September. An enormous array of design events take place across the capital, celebrating London’s creativity and showcasing unmissable design.
Warehouse Home is a proud Media Partner for contemporary design show designjunction (24-27 September) and over the coming days we’ll be introducing some of the exciting designers and brands exhibiting at the event. The popularity of our recent post about Kast Concrete Basins proved that you’re all fans of the concrete trend. This week, we’re demonstrating that the trend can be channeled in a more subtle way, with the use of small but stylish accessories.
Established in 2013, Swedish brand Korridor mix colours and solid materials to produce home accessories that are quirky and unique in shape yet practical and versatile too. We particularly like Korridor’s Diamond Concrete Candleholder, which is available in two different sizes. The design is chunky and sturdy, with a geometric shape that is as ‘on trend’ as concrete. Individually or in groups, these contemporary concrete candleholders will make a statement without dominating the space.
Concrete Candleholder Raw, kr 200, Korridor
The Diamond Concrete Candleholder is crafted from a mix of concrete and cement, with a coloured powder added to the mix to add a soft tone to each candle holder. While there are four colours to choose from – grey, coral, white and black – no two candleholders look exactly the same because of the way the mixture of cement, concrete and colour powder dries during the moulding process.
We love the industrial look of the Diamond Concrete Candleholder by Korridor – it would fit right in to any warehouse or industrial style property, and it would add a touch of raw industrial chic to any modern home.
