How You Can Join Warehouse Home
Warehouse Home is the definitive media brand for urban living and the ultimate resource for achieving an industrial aesthetic in any home. Warehouse Home has grown rapidly since the publication of the debut issue in November 2014 and we’ve quickly established an international audience – with readers in over 100 countries.
And we’ve just published our debut book with Thames & Hudson.
Our founder Sophie has entrepreneurial form. She previously launched two successful ventures for Condé Nast Publications, including a business consultancy for internationally renowned WIRED magazine. Sophie left WIRED in 2014 – knowing she’d spotted a gap in the market and an opportunity to launch a successful venture of her own.
Sophie had purchased a flat in a listed warehouse conversion in east London. Sourcing furniture and lighting to complement its features, she realised the industrial look was absolutely everywhere – in hotels and restaurants and available from many different independent and major retailers. But there was no media brand – in any market – catering specifically to this lifestyle.
These conversions really appeal to affluent urban professionals. Buyers can pay a 20% premium just for the warehouse feel. While authentic warehouse conversions often receive 4 times the enquiry rates. These conversions are all over the world. But beyond our core audience, their residents, there’s also just a much wider enthusiasm for this aesthetic.
Warehouse Home is the only media brand in any global market catering specifically to this lifestyle and the industrial look. And it’s gaining significant traction.
Warehouse Home magazine is published bi-annually. We’ve printed 5 issues, each with a print run of 15,000 and estimated readership of 45,000.
Complimentary copies are distributed to high-end warehouse conversions across the UK. Warehouse Home is also available from individually selected distributors, like Heals, West Elm and Graham & Green. And from leading hotels like Boundary in Shoreditch.
We’ve recently started to sell the magazine in independent stores like Magazine Brighton, Magalleria and Athenaeum in design conscious Amsterdam.
And we have an online subscription service, where you can even pre-order the next issue. The digital edition is free on all mobile devices and has been read in over 100 countries.
There are already several Warehouse Home design collaborations, including wallpaper, furniture and lighting. All available via a beta e-shop. Sales prove that our collection is just as popular with those who don’t live in conversions as with those who do.
We’re a small and dedicated team with decades of publishing experience between us. And we’ve received some great coverage along the way.
