4 Must See Designers at designjunction
Now in it’s fourteenth year, London Design Festival takes place annually each September. During this time an enormous line-up of design events take place across the capital, celebrating London’s creativity and showcasing unmissable design. As proud media partner of featuring contemporary design show designjunction (22nd-25th September), and in celebration of it’s brand new Kings Cross location, the Warehouse Home team have selected a number of vibrant and exciting designers and brands exhibiting at the event.
Split into four categories, an array of designers and brands including String, Another Country and Dyke & Dean will exhibit their contemporary designs in lighting, headlining installations and specially commissioned projects as well as an exciting retail pop-up featuring more than 50 boutique brands.
Create a lighting experience with the Muffin table lamp from Brokis. Featuring hand blown glass and a stained oak base, this defined yet delicate collection is available in a selection of smoked and transparent glass. A symbol of the Brokis brand, the billowing glass shade set evokes a playful ambiance.
Firm favourites with the Warehouse Home team and our readers, iconic brand String offer a functional and stylish selection of shelf storage systems. Aptly described as one of the twentieth century’s foremost design icons, String offer an enormous array of customisable styles, colours and sizes perfectly suited to any interior. See them featured here in Warehouse Home Issue Four!
This Pie Chart System from H Furniture as featured in Warehouse Home Issue Two, comprises different sized pie-like segments which can be combined or used individually as side or coffee tables. Optional container sections maximise storage space. Made from solid wood and plywood, and available in a variety of vibrant colours, this modular system is simple, playful and highly versatile.
Established in 2013, Swedish brand Korridor mix colours and solid materials to produce home accessories that are quirky and unique in shape yet practical and versatile too. We particularly like Korridor’s Diamond Concrete Candleholder, which you may remember we wrote about last year. Available in two different sizes the Diamond Concrete Candleholder is crafted from a mix of concrete and cement, with a coloured powder added to the mix to add a soft tone to each candle holder. We are delighted to hear Korridor are returning to designjunction this year and are excited to see what new designs they will be exhibiting.
Featuring over 200 contemporary brands and designers in a diverse of exhibitions, installations, retail, event and workshops take a look at the featuring designer line up or, why not register to attend designjunction this September! We’ll see you there!
