3 Vintage Buckets – Dirty Pretty Vintage

Posted on Apr 19, 2016 by

Exploring the online emporium Dirty Pretty Vintage recently, we came across several charming vintage buckets and pails. A vintage bucket is probably one of the most versatile accessories you can buy for your home. It can be used as storage, for decoration, for plants, or for its original purpose! The patination that comes with age and use only adds to the charm and character. Both practical and aesthetically pleasing, we can’t think of a reason not to have one! Here are three great examples from Dirty Pretty Vintage.

This galvanised washtub has a fitted lid, making it ideal for tidying away and hiding anything from toilet rolls in the bathroom to children’s lego in the playroom! The worn original label adds visual interest and a real sense of heritage.

This second French Washtub has a faded orange label. We think it’s ‘superieur’! It could be used as a mop bucket in the kitchen. Or alternatively for storing tools or utensils.

Make a statement with this original fire bucket – it would obviously look fantastic beside an open fireplace – or perhaps beside the barbeque! Its sturdy build means it can be used to transport logs or other heavier items around too.
