3 New Industrial Lights From Skinflint
Here at Warehouse Home we’re always excited by the prospect of a Skinflint Design release. Featuring prominently in both Warehouse Home Issue One and our blog, expert lighting salvagers and specialists, Skinflint have unveiled an impressive collection of vintage light fittings recovered from previous industrial, military and maritime use before undergoing careful restoration right here in the UK. Read on as we share 3 pieces illustrating the unique diversity of the collection.
1. Salvaged from former Soviet industrial sites, this 1960’s pendant features a two part enclosure and original grey painted finish. The cascading cluster of pendants (as styled below) would create a dynamic focal point in a kitchen or dining space.

2. This imposing industrial pendant salvaged from the former Czechoslovakia is a true design heavyweight. Play with scale and offset this impressive aluminium and steel pendant against the rough textures of an industrial interior.

3. An original 1930’s piece, this vintage British machinist light features lacquered steel arms and a complementary green enamel shade. Hinting at an industrial past, slight wear along the outer rim of the shade adds further character to the already charming wall mounted work light. An articulating arm can be pointed in a variety of directions to give focused light for a variety of different tasks.
