3 Ways with Copper: Industrial Furniture
Copper continues to be a strong interior decor trend for 2015. And it’s transforming some surprising furniture and homeware, giving them a uniquely industrial luxe look. We’ve featured the trend previously in the launch issue of Warehouse Home and are always on the lookout for new products that incorporate the warm-hued yet industrial material.
This beautiful coffee table from Uniche combines vintage and industrial design with an elegant antique copper finish. Mounted on wheels and hairpin legs, it’s reminiscent of an old factory trolley, but it’s been given a striking contemporary reinvention. The black polished wooden top completes the industrial luxe effect.

Reminiscent of copper tubing, this wooden stacking chair incorporates the industrial metal in a subtle, understated way. We love the contrast between the copper frame and wooden seat and back. And look how beautifully the copper glows when styled against navy walls. As the chair is also stackable, it’s a great solution if space is lacking.

Our final pick is a timeless and elegant storage solution, given a stunning copper update. String pocket shelving has been widely regarded as a design icon since it was originally designed in 1949 by Nil Strinning. The wall-mounted shelving can be built upon, as high upwards or far sideways as you require. The distinctive shelving is available in many different colours to suit any home colour scheme. But we absolutely love this copper version.
